This is my Florida page. I love to vacation in Florida. I love the ocean and would live on the beach if I could. Maybe one day I will! For now, though I must content myself with vacations and taking pictures to remind me.
The sun just starting to break at Destin....
This is what I woke up to on my birthday in Destin!!! What a great present!!!!
This one is same sunrise different angle kinda got a haunted look to it with the house to the left...but, look at that awesome gift from our God.
This is sunset at Destin. I never tire of this stuff. When I go to FL all I want to do is walk the beach and revel in His beautiful gifts to us, that cost not one cent and is given to all to enjoy!
Forgive the size of this pic....I'm new to scanning them and I didn't redo it. Hopefully I can get it resized so you can see it better. Till then....hahah u get the picture....( oops excuse the pun)!
This is Kemo. He kept hanging out on the patio at the condo, so LJ decided to take some pics of him. We named him Kemo 'cause his tail wasn't very bushy.
Thanks to my friend and fellow Florida beach bum... for the great pictures shown above L.J. Teitloff
This is sunrise at Daytona couple years back.
Now this is from the Bahamas a couple years back also. This was so cool, it's the inlet that led to a private beach where we had a day of games and picnic. It was also a snorkeling tour. That was great fun till they saw a shark in the water and I got seasick. Man, seasickness is NO fun. Amazing though as soon as I stepped on dry land it disappeared. And I went on to get this great shot.
I took this picture 'cause I found it sooo funny! My friend and I spent weeks making sure we had some kind of tan before we went to the Bahamas and here's this lady laid out there whiter than a ...hahahhaa... I watched her,she didn't put on ANY sunscreen!!!! LOL
While in Florida I wrote this poem. I was just so overcome with emotions I had to let them out and so this is what came out of it.
God's Playground
The sound is a gentle whisper, constant, primal, forevermore.
The sight is powerful, relentless, a cascading force.
The smell is untouched, fresh and mind clearing.
The touch is cool, refreshing, and natural.
The taste is bittersweet...a salt mist.
All the senses may feast on the beauty of the ocean beach....one of God's playgrounds.
