The Book of Dan, Verses Several

“In the beginning Dan said, ‘The people should have a kite;’ and so molded plastic and
gave it wind.
The people flew the kite
and it was good.
Dan saith, ‘Behold, for it is a goodly kite;
and being thus attached with string
of several cubits length,
it flies as the bird for which it was named.’
Dan wept.
And the people agreed that it was good,
and evermore celebrated that day
as the day of the people’s kite.”

“But the times were bad,
and the good children of
delightful DNA combinations
were sore afflicted by a separation;
And Dan saith unto the masses,
‘For who will take this kite? Will
two parties wish for it, and cause it
to be broke in twain?’
And the people of GSP were sore affronted,
and saith no more unto him,
and stoned him.
But Dan did not die, for these were small stones, indeed.
And Dan broke the kite as was the custom of the Socialist People, in twain,
and rid the good people of the kite.
And the people of GSP saw that this was good. And said they, ‘Forsooth,
this Dan is a very wise man indeed.’”
