I love and I die
Why when a person is so wonderful
Do you worry about taking them over,
Becoming them instead of yourself,
Altering yourself completely
To become like the person you most adore?
What I really don't want to admit
Is that I need him
And want him to need me back.
While I don't have him now,
I cherish enough of his things
In the hours without him
To evoke his presence--which I may
Need more than him himself.
