The following is a near complete list of various studio outtakes and demos that John Lennon recorded
without The Beatles.

During the 1960's, Lennon recorded most of his demo's at his home in Weybridge, in the Kenwood
"stockbroker" belt near London, England.

In May 1969, John & Yoko bought Tittenhurst Park, an eighteenth-century Georgian mansion on a seventy-acre
estate in Ascot, England. It was there that John recorded most of his demo's for the album John
Lennon: Plastic Ono Band, as well as the final version of Imagine in 1971.

In the fall of 1971, the Lennon's relocated to New York City, first at the St. Regis Hotel then to a
two-bedroom apartment on Bank Street in Greenwich Village. It was from there that the Lennon's wrote the
songs that would eventually become Sometime In New York City. During this time, John recruited the local
band Elephants Memory, to be his regular back up musicians. It was this line up, that Lennon appeared on
such television programs as The Mike Douglas Show and The Dick Cavett Show, as well performing two shows
for the One To One benefit at Madison Square Garden. Lennon planned to tour with Elephants Memory as his
back-up, but the continuous hassles from the United States government to deport him (from a 1968 drug
conviction), made it impossible.

Between 1973 and early 1975, John & Yoko split up, which Lennon later termed his "lost weekend," late night
drunken parties with the likes of Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, etc. It was far from a "lost" period
in Lennon musically; he recorded the albums Mind Games, Walls and Bridges and Rock & Roll, produced Pussycats
for Harry Nilsson, and collaborated with David Bowie, Elton John and Ringo Starr.

In 1975, John & Yoko reconciled, and Lennon decided to devote all of his time in raising his newborn son Sean.
Lennon musically during this period was at a minimum, making his last public performance, a British television
tribute to record executive Sir Lew Grade and a brief collaboration with Ringo.

In 1980, Lennon decided to return to the music scene with newly completed songs written on holiday in Bermuda
and at home in the Dakota, which would eventually become the album Double Fantasy and posthumously Milk & Honey.
