John Battle
John Battle was born July 1660 in Surry Co., Virginia. He is the son of Mathew Battle and Anne ?. John married Margaret Sowersby
(the daughter of James Sowersby and Anne), on July 1, 1684. John died about 1728/29 in Surry Co., Virginia and Margaret died before 1728
in Surry Co., Virginia. 1687, John was a footsoldier in the Virginia Militia. John Battle bought land on July 12, 1718 in Surry Co., Virginia.
John and Margaret had four children: John Battle, Charles Battle, Elizabeth Battle, and Faith Battle.
