Brad's Film: Update
SKIPPED PARTS
Jennifer Jason Leigh and Brad Renfro star in
"Skipped Parts," directed by Tamara Davis.
The film, a sexual coming-of-age story is set in
the 1960s and is written by Tim Sandlin,
based on his own novel. Drew Barrymore will
cameo.
The film has a planned release date of August
25 in New York and Los Angeles, with a
wide release on September 5. At least that's
the plan right now. It should be noted that
Brad DOES NOT play the lead in this
film; the lead will be Bug Hall. Brad
plays the small role of the 'other
boyfriend.'
Happy Campers
Happy Campers is director by Daniel Waters'
first movie; previously he wrote screenplays for
Heathers and
Demolition Man. Let's
hope this isn't a Corey Haim/Corey
Feldman-style movie!
This film has been rated R due to excessive
sexual content involving minors, foul language,
and drug use. Sounds like a real winner. For
anyone who cares, the projected release date is
Feb. 2001.
T a r t
Yes, it's another classy cinematic achievement from Brad
Renfro - Tart! As you can see from the poster at the left,
this movie is about...you guessed it: teens, sex, and drugs!
You've seen Dominique Swain in Face/Off, and hopefully
didn't see her in Lolita. She also stars with Brad in Happy
Campers.
Perhaps Brad & Dominique are the Corey Haim/Corey
Feldman of the 2000s!?!
Other Future Projects
Deuces Wild: From the director of the fantastic The Basketball Diaries, this film takes place in
Brooklyn in 1958, and stars Matt Dillon and Balthazar Getty, to name a few. No release date.
Ghost World: Based on a comic book, starring Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson. Brad is a
worthless guy both girls have a crush on.
2 Little 2 Late: This one fits in the same category as Meter Man; a small independent
film-festival-circuit film. Chances are very small that anybody outside the circuit will ever see it.
Herschel Hopper: New York Rabbit:: An online cartoon which boasts Brad's voice talents.
Seems odd that Brad's career now is completely in the teen sex/drugs realm, yet somebody thought
it was a good idea to use him in a children's cartoon!
