About Me......

Hi! Thanks for visiting my first web page. My name is Mitzi. I am a 35 year old single mom. I have a wonderful 10 & 1/2 year old son named Logan. He is my greatest gift from God and inspiration to be the very best I can be. I will admit I was a late bloomer. It took me a long time to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. Who really ever wants to grow up anyway??? (smile) When I was 21 years old I was seriously injured in a Greyhound Bus accident in the mountains outside of a little town called Pendleton, OR. A trauma team at a wonderful catholic hospital named St. Anthony's had a mock disaster drill just a few days before that accident. I tribute them with saving my life. I am greatful to God for sparing my life. He had His reasons and obviously my work here wasn't done yet. I believe with all of my heart that He lead me to become a Nurse. Hopefully with great humbling gratitude I may be able to give a little bit back, that I may comfort and Entertain an Angel in stranger's clothes. I graduated from Nursing School after working full time and chugging along in my drive towards that dream on a part time basis for over 6 years. I mention this only because I want to convey that it is never too late to go back to school or try and reach for your dreams! I know because I went back to school with a baby on my hip, living alone and totally self supportive. I worked full time and went to school part-time. I learned a lot in college about life, death and healing. Now that I am licensed and working as an RN I am still learning!!! I truly believe that spiritual healing is very important in physical recovery. Support is also an important part of coping. What I have seen is that so many of our institutionalized mentally ill are there because they have no identifiable means of support. The funny thing about support is that it can come from many sources. Our friends, family, churches, communities, and health organizations are usually dedicated to supporting us. What I have found out is that support can also come from a stranger on the internet, I have seen it over and over again in chatrooms, on message boards, and on many websites. Having support is key in any healing process. As I began my search in July 1997 when I created this site I found mounds of it on the web. I have put together links to areas that I thought were good, insightful, just plain interesting, and supportive in nature. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Visit often ... this site is growing and changing all of the time ... if you have a link you would like to see added, please send me the URL. Sometimes a smile from a stranger, a simple act of kindness, is the only spiritually uplifting support another person may get so I ask you to please give someone the gift of a smile everyday. Smiles are free but mighty powerful!!! Oh YEAH .... for you fellow NASCAR fans out there... Dale Jarrett RULEZZZZZZ!! Peace, Love, and Happiness....... Mitzi

Can you feel it?????

It's the Power of LOVE!!!!!!
