Our Interview with Jarrod Millsaps (Elwood Blues)
As Elwood Blues, Jarrod Millsaps is wackiness personified. In true Dan Aykroyd fashion, Jarrod sounds exactly like this original Blues Brother, and plus his dancing is great too- just like his best friend Josh. Look below, and you can read more about this hilarious and very talented guy.
1. Basic Facts:
A.) When is your birthday?
5/16/79
B.) Where were you born?
Orlando, FL
C.) What is your favorite color?
Black
D.) What was your favorite subject in grade school?
Music
E.) What are your favorite hobbies?
Singing, Riding horses, Watching college football, etc.
2. When and why did you start liking the Blues Brothers?
(When we won a) talent show in high school.
3. You and Josh do such a wonderful job with the dancing and jokes during
your act. Who choreographs, and who thinks of the material for your segment?
We took a lot of things straight from the movie and from Saturday Night
Live.
4. What do you think is the best part of working at Memories?
Entertainment gives me a release from my everyday troubles.
5. You really do a great "Elwood Blues." Have you ever met Dan Aykroyd?
Yes, I met him in New York while watching a segment of SNL 3 years
ago. I also attended his restaurant (House of Blues) in Orlando, Myrtle
Beach, and New Orleans.
6. Both of you have many younger fans, as well as fans of all ages. Why do
you think that your segment attracts so many types of people?
Our act attracts older fans because they remember the Blues Brothers. I
think the younger fans enjoy us because of the change of acts in the show (being upbeat).
