The Sacred Labyrinth Prayer Room

This flame burns for the healing of past wounds, of past wars and hatreds. Let the healing of all such hearts and minds begin healing. It also burns for the peaceful resolution of the conflicts of the present, that health, help, healing and hope may be present in the lives of all who seek peace and war. This flame represents the future, that conflicts and disagreements will be resolved with peace and thoughts for the next seven generations. Let peace and love reign on earth and in the minds of all humans.

Just focus on the flame, quietly say or think your prayer, and let your intent be to add it to the room.

Sit quietly and feel your prayers, love and peace combine with the prayers, love and peace left here by others. Peace be with you.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

'FROM THE POINT OF LIGHT WITHIN THE MIND OF GOD, LET LIGHT STREAM FORTH INTO THE MINDS OF MAN. LET LIGHT DESCEND ON EARTH.

'FROM THE POINT OF LOVE WITHIN THE HEART OF GOD, LET LOVE STREAM FORTH INTO THE HEARTS OF MAN. MAY CHRIST RETURN TO EARTH.

'FROM THE CENTER WHERE THE WILL OF GOD IS KNOWN, LET PURPOSE GUIDE THE LITTLE WILLS OF MAN. THE PURPOSE WHICH THE MASTERS KNOW AND SERVE.

'FROM THE CENTER WHICH WE CALL THE RACE OF MAN, LET THE PLAN OF LOVE AND LIGHT WORK OUT. AND MAY IT SEAL THE DOOR WHERE EVIL DWELLS.

LET LIGHT AND LOVE AND POWER RESTORE THE PLAN ON EARTH.'

ONE... A TIMELY POEM

As the soot and dirt and ash rained down,
We became one color.
As we carried each other down the stairs of
the burning building We became one class.
As we lit candles of waiting and hope,
We became one generation.
As the firefighters and police officers fought
their way into the inferno, We became one gender.
As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength,
We became one faith.
As we whispered or shouted words of encouragement,
We spoke one language.
As we gave our blood in lines a mile long,
We became one body.
As we mourned together the great loss,
We became one family.
As we cried tears of grief and loss,
We became one soul.
As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of heroes,
We become one people.

Don't stand at my grave and weep
For I'm not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond's glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle animal's rain.

When you awaken in morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die. --Indian Prayer
