Chapter Fourteen

"Hey Megan....Zac's on the phone. Wake up." Emily said, waking a very tired Megan up.

"Whuh? Zac?"

"Yup. Get up."

"Ok." she said, walking over to her phone. "Hello."

"Hi babe. Are you feeling good today?"

"Good, I guess. Whats Up?"

"Would you and Emily like to go on a picnic today? We will meet at the park arounf 12 if you can."

"Um...sure. I'll see you then." she said, and hung up the phone.

"Hey Emms, we're going on a picnic today at noon. Get ready."

"Ok. I am borrowing your smelly stuff." She said.

"Ok." Megan chickled. Megan descided on wearing a dark green tank top with dark blue jean shorts, and her nikes. She didn't want to go in the sun, and get a farmers tan, so it had to be a tank top. Emily had the same perspective, and she wore a blue tank top that said LT2 in the corner, and some khacki shorts. She grabbed her brown DM Sandals to wear with it.

"So, how's it going with Tay?" Megan asked, starting a conversation.

"I don't know. I wonder if he likes me? I surely like him!"

"I think he does. Maybe a Love Connection will happen today.

"Yeah right, in my dreams." Emily said, as the phone in Megan's room rang.

"Hello...this is me, is that you?" Megan said to the person on the other line.

"Yup, it surely is. I miss you girl!" Robert said.

"Robert....leave me alone. I told you it was over...OK! I like Zac now."

"Why? You got me. I thought we had something special."

"We did....but it's over. I moved, and it won't work. I have to go now...ok. I will talk to you later." She said, and hung up, starting to cry.

"What happened?" Emily asked with concern. She knew that Robert was a real sweetie, until he gets mad. Then you don't want to be around him. "What did he say?"

"He is just being an asshole. I don't want to talk about it. Lets go have mom take us now, OK?"

"Sure" Emily whispered, worried Megan would be real upset now.

"Hey gurlz..." Ike said greeting them as they arrived at the park.

"Hi" Megan said in a Daria type of voice.

"Whats wrong with her?" Tay mouthed to Emily.

"Don't even ask." she mouthed back.

"Lets go take a walk Megan." Zac said, getting up and starting to push her wheel-chair.

Once they were out of hearing from everyone else, they starting talking.

"Whats wrong?"

"Everything. I am starting to miss Tennessee. Plus, today Robert called. He won't leave me alone. He is so sweet unless he gets mad, and hes the cruelist human ever."

"I am sorry, I didn't mean for any of this to happen." Zac said, starting to get angry and sad at the same time. All of the sudden, Zac broke out into singing Two Tears.

"Thats beautiful. Who sings that?" Megan asked sniffling.

"Actually, me, Tay, and Ike did. We like to write songs and sing them."

"I love the song. You voice is so beautiful too."

At that, Zac started blushing. "Thanks. We've been singing our whole life." Zac said. "Used to be just oldies." he added with a laugh.

"Thanx for singing that, it cheered me up. Do you wanna' go back with the others?"

"Sure babe." Zac said. He wheeled her back to the others, and then helped her out of her wheel-chair onto the blanket so she could eat.

"Feeling better Meggers?" Emily asked.

"Yeah, thanx. So did we miss anything?"

"Not much. Ike, I believe has his eyes on some girl though." Tay commented, with Ike giving him, a "look".

"Shut up you terd." He shot back.

"Good come back!"

After they ate lunch, Megan wobbled over to the swings, and slowly swang up and down.

"Hey. Whats Up?" Emily asked as she sat by Megan on the swings.

"I miss Tennessee, alot. I mean, I like it here, and I would miss Zac if I left, but I just don't know."

"It'll be OK. Maybe you can visit and come back with me for a while?"

"Sure...you go and have fun with Tay." she said, as Tay and Zac walked over, Ike still checking out some girl.

"Hey. I am an Intergolactic alien, sent from Mars. I am here to abduct you." was his warm greeting.

"Too late, someone else came here earlier from Venus."

"Darn, I am gonna' have to have a talk with them!"

"Mmmhhh!" megan said shaking her head. Just has she started to say something, Zac leaned in and gave her a kiss.

Wooohh Megan Said to herself. That was something she didn't expect, but didn't mind.

Wow, my first kiss! Zac thought. Sure he kissed his "girlfriend" when he was two, but that didn't count. This was his first real kiss.

"Come on you guys, we're going swimming! Ike is bringing his new girlfriend " Tay said breaking the silence, and stressing girlfriend.

Megan and Zac got up holding hands and starting walking in silence.

They went their seperate ways, and went to get ready to go swimming.

Emily had changed into a blue halter top and boy shorts suit, and Megan descided on wearing her lavender plaid halter and boy-short suit (Click here to see) . Tay and Ike each had a plain colored trunks, Tay's being red, and Ike's black. Zac however, had a very bright suit, that just looked like someone splattered paint on. It's was very odd looking.(But hey, this is Zac!)
