A Better Way Ministry, is a program designed to help make a difference in the lives of women who are, or have been, addicted to alcohol or other drugs, or are just struggling with life problems.
Our counseling includes women who are incarcerated or are tied to the criminal justice system in some other way, as well as women who have the freedom to choose to make "A Better Way" for themselves.
We are a Christian based program, dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We know that He is the answer to all of life's biggest obsticals, as well as the little ones. Nothing is too big, or too little for God to handle!
Our main focus group is , but not limited to, pregnant women and mothers with young children. We want to help children, by helping their moms. We know that addiction of any family member, affects the whole family. Our aim is to help women break the cycle of addiction, so they can be the person and mom, that God intended them to be.
Beverly Kennedy is the founder of "A Better Way", and is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Tennessee. She practices Biblical counseling, as well as introducing her clients to the Twelve Step program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
"A Better Way" is a private nonprofit organization, and operates on a donation basis. All gifts are tax deductable. All services to the women are free, unless they feel led to give a donation also for their counseling.
Many women in prisons today will return, unless they are able to learn
"A Better Way"
by giving their lives to Christ, and allowing Him to point out the necessary changes they need to make in order to accomplish their goal of living a life,
Clean and Sober because of Him!
