Jimmie Junior Roach U.S. Navy corpsman
Photo is a copy of the original painting done by a fellow seaman for my dad and was a gift to my mother.
Jimmie Junior Roach served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, with honor, pride, and patriotism.
He was the son of Elmer Hollis Roach and Willie Irene Solomon Roach.
Jimmie Roach in Vietnam
Photo taken Christmas 1965 Da Nang, Vietnam.
He was refered to "Doc Roach" by the marines he cared for at Da Nang. And it was a marine who saved his life during a snipper attack during a patrol. My mom still has the bullet taken from the gun that mis-fired that was meant for daddy. Needless to say the snipper wasn't so lucky.
