This story takes place in Kentucky in late 92 and early 93. Brittney's dad is in the military. She's afraid to get attatched to people from past traumatic experiences, but her older brother's friend might me just what the doctor ordered.

One day, I was sitting at home thinking about the Kosovo thing that happened not to long ago, and I wondered what it was like, and what it would be like for us. I know it was unrealistic to think about ethnic cleansing in the U.S., but it did give me a good idea for this story. Some of the events might be too much for some die hard Backstreet Boys fans to handle.

Up to the prologue
I'm a person who likes to be inspired for srories and songs, or anything that I write. This idea came to me while I was shooting hoops a while back. The main character is a lot like me, but most of my characters are. It just makes it more natural for me to write. I hope you like it! Somebody let me know if you have a good title for this story.
