FRANK IFIELD INDUCTED INTO
A renown group sang the all time favorite “I REMEMBER YOU” , made famous by Frank in the 1960’s and still the favorite of many today.
Frank completed the session by giving the large audience some amusing accounts of his youth, of his career and the status of the music industry. The famous award recipient was very gracious as is his usual style.
Frank is President of the British Archives Of Country Music (BACM)
dedicated to preserving the past and promoting today's sounds for future generations.

Governor Frank Clement presented Frank Ifield "Honourary Citizenship Of The State Of Tennessee". In addition to this honour, Frank Ifield was made an honorourary member of the "Red Carpet Club" in Nashville, a very prestigious award. He received a citation from the mayor of Independance, Chet Dunbar. He also received an "Honourary Citizenship Of The State Of Kansas" presented by Mayor John Carlin, October 1981.
Frank's concept to run a CM in Sydney in his locality received the support of the Rotary Club of which Frank is an honourary member. As patron and deviser of The Gaston Country Music Festival, he is very active and committed to this annual event.
The Rotary Club has established the "Frank Ifield" spur award that is presented annually at the Festival. It is in recognition of artistic talent with the desire to promote and achieve excellence in the entertainment profession. One can often find Frank busy as a presenter or emceeing national radio country music broadcasts in Australia. He has his own record label, FIR.
Frank has always had an interest in promoting young talent. In recent years he has channelled much of his efforts in the business developing, coaching and grooming new artists. This led to a TV series presenting new contemporary Country stars in Australia. That show won him an award in 1996 as Best TV Presenter.
Frank was inducted into the "Roll Of Renown" January, 2003. A plaque for Frank with his image and a brief description of his accomplishments were mounted on a granite monument and located outside the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Center. It was unveiled to the public Thursday, January 23, 2003. This award is considered to be the highest honour for all Austrailian Country Music Artists.

The presentation was made by Brian Henderson, esteemed host of Australian Band Stand, who gave an excellent background of Frank’s career highlighting his outstanding accomplishments and his many contributions to the music industry.

Though actually born in England of Australian
parents, Frank returned with his family to Australia while at a
very young age. Still in his teens, he rose to national
prominence and starred on radio and all three Australian
TV channels. He was charted as Australia's top recording
star before he was 21 years of age. Since that time, he
became a major headliner in many countries throughout
the world.
