WE LIVE IN AN ENDEARING PLACE
Get ready, ladies: JON BON JOVI is here today to rock Nashville, a city he's been to many times. In fact, the group, Bon Jovi, recorded the hit song ALWAYS in 1994, at Sixteenth Avenue Sound Studios, and he's been here dozens of times to write. Why Nashville? "Every kid that pumps gas is a brilliant songwriter. Every guy behind the counter of the 7-11 is a brilliant songwriter", he said in a phone interview yesterday. "It's a real great musical community. You can constantly be impressed by guys who have publishing deals who play in the round who aren't big recording stars. They're all there to cooperate with each other. It's a real endearing place." Jon plays a private show at noon at the opening of the new Graham Central Station bar on Second Avenue North. You can hear the show live on The River (107.5-FM). Cybergeeks can go to Nashville.citysearch.com for the live cybercast.
