1989 Toyota Cressida Luxury Sedan

These are some pics of when I totalled my 1989 Toyota Cressida at around 7:45 on Saturday April 21, 2001. I walked away from the accident with only a scratch on my elbow, a bump on my head, and a burn on my neck from my seatbelt. Let me tell you how this all came about.

I attended a church lock-in from about 7:30 friday night till 7:00 Saturday morning. I thought I was supposed to attend driving school for a speeding ticket on Saturday night. When I got home Saturday morning I found out I had to be at driving school at 8:45 that morning, so I took my girlfriend and my friend, Steve, home. They live about 15 or 20 miles away. I took them both home and was probably 2 or 3 miles from home when I fell asleep at the wheel. While asleep my car veered off the road to the right. I ran over a curb (this woke me up) and tried to correct my path and pull the car back onto the road. The embankment steepened and my attempt failed. I barrelled down the ditch and hit a raised manhole cover. The concrete shattered and the 150lb. manhole cover flew off. This impact sent me airborne and I hit a telephone pole vertically(the front of my car was pointed straight down and I hit the pole with the roof of my car). The telephone pole shattered and broke into two pieces. The right front of my car caught the ground and I began to flip. I flipped a couple of times until I landed upside down. My car slid into a drainage pipe and it flipped back onto its wheels. As soon as the car stopped fliping, I turned off the ignition and crawled out the front passenger window because all of my doors were jammed. I found my cell phone and called my parents. As you can see below, I'm lucky to be alive and I thank God that I am.

Take a look at these pictures and tell me what you think in my guestbook.
