FlyChica Productions makes an impact at Impact

FlyChica Productions, a costume jewelry manufacturing company, had the opportunity to present Nameplate Rosaries to RedMan, DJ Kid Capri and Nino Storm at the 2000 Impact Urban Conference which was held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Not only were these well known rappers and dj’s surprised to receive these unique pieces of jewelry, they also expressed their liking of the product by immediately putting them on. “Only God Can Judge Me” was the slogan for Method Man’s Nameplate Rosary, “Be True To Your Style” was on DJ Kid Capri’s and “Hustlin Pays” was proudly worn by Dirty South Records rapper, Nino Storm.

Russell Simmons and his wife, Kimora Lee were also presented with Nameplate Rosaries personally by FlyChica Productions founder, Christy Lee, at an autograph signing which was held at Phat Kaps in the Hickory Hollow Mall. At the suggestion of Def Jam employees, FlyChica put the slogans “Def Jam Def Soul” , the title of a video now being aired on most music channels and “Rock The Bells” which is to be given to LL Cool J. Two other Nameplate Rosaries were also presented to Def Jam, “Respect For Hip Hop” and “Forever Def Jams”. Other Nameplate Rosaries presented at the conference were “Forever So So Def” for Jermaine Dupri, “Legit Ballin Records” and “Black Pirate Militia”.

At the 4 day long conference, FlyChica Productions had the opportunity to promote Nameplate Rosaries with many well known people in the hip hop industry. Angela Yvette Bryd, curator of the Hip Hop Museum of Art, expressed interest and suggested retailing Nameplate Rosaries in the museums gift shop. Legit Ballin Records also showed their support and interest by placing a wholesale order with the name “Legit Ballin Records”.

Other well known artists that support FlyChica’s creations are the funk movement legends Galt MacDermont, Bernard Purdie, Wilbur Bascomb, rap artists the Beatnuts, Vic Padilla of Terror Squad/Ghetto Professionals Fame, 1999 DMC Scribble Jam Champion DJ Precyse, Mass Influence, Esoteric, DJ ShorKut of The Invislb Scratch Piklz, Peanut Butter Wolf, Mr. Dibbs of the 1200 Hobos Crew, DJ Signify, Breakestra and the Lootpack.

Over the last several years, FlyChica Productions has been representing at hip hop events promoting Nameplate Rosaries and other types of urban costume jewelry fashion she designs.
