Rufus impatiently banged his fork down on his plate, stared at the ceiling and sighed.
Sephiroth took out the masamune and continued spray-painting it green.
The kitchen door opened. Every single shaped rose a little bit and took a whiff of the air. Tseng drooled.
TURKEY!!!
Aeris got up and walked into the kitchen. There were the female spirits hunched over pots and pans, stirring this and adding that, and Ethel, a very beautiful Cetra like Aeris, was testing a strange blue-green broth.
Aeris poked Infalna. "How much longer? The boys are starving!"
Her mother sighed. "Oh, the turkey keeps running around."
Aeris let out a little scream. "You mean the turkey is RUNNING AROUND?!!!"
Infalna let out a short laugh. "You haven't been dead long, Aeris. You can't kill a dead turkey. They have a reputation for running around before you cut them up into little pieces.
Aeris tried not to imagine it. "B-but," she stammered, "where is it now?"
Before Infalna could reply, Aeris jumped. "SOMETHING BIT MY LEG!!!"
Ethel pointed to a froth of feathers. "There! There!"
Nadia dove for it, upsetting the blue-green broth. It spilt all over her brown hair and ruined her dress.
Ethel screamed again, "There!"
The turkey made a mad dash for the door, dodged Kathi's boot and slipped through the crack.
Hojo pointed at it. "Wild turkey on the loose!"
Sephiroth brought the green-and-silver masamune down inches away from cutting off the turkey's head.
Ethel appeared in the doorway. "There!"
Tseng reached down and tried to grab it's neck. The turkey dodged and ran straight through Rufus's legs, bringing the spirit nearly down on top of him.
Aeris knelt down. "Turk-E! Turk-E!"
The turkey ran for Aeris and vigorously ate salad from between her fingers.
Sephiroth raised his hand. "I'll volunteer to cut the turkey."
Author's Note: It isn't as funny as chapter 1, but hey, it was Thanksgiving and my brother the jerk (yes, the jerk) came over so I decided to write something cheap. Chapter 3 is hopefully funnier.
