Broken Heart

I thought I knew what pain was......
How wrong I was.....
The pain I recieved the other day.....
Is so unbearably.....
I wonder how this could happen....
TO ME......
I always did the best I knew how.....
I know I'm far from perfect.....
But I do try.....
Life throws out so many things....
Some you least expect.......
Sure makes you wish, you could be a tin man.....
At least you couldn't feel the pain......

It's time to move on now.....
Let you see the real world....
you think your all grown up.....
but you'll see the grass isn't so green ,
ON THE OTHER SIDE......
We mothers only wanna protect you children......
Yes, sometimes we over protect you.....
I know I did, but it was for you.....
Now I've been crushed...
you'll see in time.....
just how I feel.......
you'll have children someday.....
I sure hope they don't crush you.....
Like I'm crushed today........
you might as well have held a gun to my head......
and pulled the trigger.......
cause I don't think the pain could have been this bad....
I'll always love you .....
but it's time to let go.....
I know you'll grow up now....
you'll have to.....
cause you won't be under this wing of mine...
so fly away....
never look back......
and GROW......
