The End
I have felt the sting of the swinging glove.
I have seen dispair in the eyes of love.
I have experienced the slice of the razors edge.
I have seen the street below from the buildings ledge.
I have felt love and gave my full trust.
I have then been told it was nothing more than lust.
I have felt the blood pour from my veins.
I have seen it spread as the ground, it stains.
I have felt betrayal, as I was shunned and pushed away.
I have seen my heart ripped out, and on the floor it lay.
I have felt the rifle in my hands, the hard cold steel.
I have seen the bullet, my fate it will seal.
I now feel the trigger, and oh so slowly I squeeze.
I now see the spray as I fall to my knees.
I now feel my life leave, this is the end.
I now see nothing, this is oblivion.
