I have used CBD oil, off and on as needed, for mood enhancement, balancing and calming effects and general pain relief. As a pain relief application, I have used it directly on painful wrist irritation. Often, the relief is almost instantaneous. Other times, for unknown reasons, it may take several applications.
However, I recently heard from a friend of mine who suffers from RSD that CBD oil has been helping her a lot as well.
Most recently, I gave some to my sis who has been struggling with anxiety after a traumatic event. It seems to be helping her too. I think cbd oil may have a broad range of helpful applications.
What is Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy? I had never heard or RSD but it is a very painful condition that causes those who have it quite a bit of discomfort. The condition is also called CRPS, or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, and the symptoms can include any of the following:
1. The main symptom of RSD is a type of chronic and very intense pain that gets worse over time. If there has been an injury, the amount of pain from that injury far surpasses what would be expected. RSD most often affects limbs, such as arms and legs, or hands and feet.
2. Burning pain
3. Weird changes in body temperature in areas affected.
4. Extreme touch sensitivity
5. Blotchy, red, purple skin
6. A kind of shiny skin texture and excessive sweating
7. Joint swelling and stiffness
8. Problems with movement in affected areas of the body
My friend was diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy and she swears by CBD oil as one of the substances that makes a substantial difference in her quality of life, as far as pain relief and cessation of RSD symptoms is concerned.
The exact cause of RSD is not, at this point in time, knowin with certainty. It is thought to occur as a result of a sympathetic nervous system malfunction but this hasn't bee proven conclusively. However, since the diagnosis of RSD often follows an injury or trauma to the extremities, it is important to monitor after sprains or fractures as well as to carefully note symptoms that occur after brain injuries or certain types of surgery.
There is no definitive test for diagnosing RSD. It seems that the diagnosis or Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy is often assigned when there is an absence of other medical conditions that could be reasonably diagnosed.
Health Disclaimer: CBD oil from industrial hemp is not suggested as replacement for any needed medical evaluation, testing or treatment you may also need. Please note that I can only recommend lab-tested CBD because of the proliferation of toxic pesticides that may be present in untested industrial hemp.
