Dedication to
~My Daughter~
My baby daughter, and youngest child, My heart aches for you. I see
and feel your pain, and I am sometimes guilty of a great deal of self pity for my pain. I
not only lost my beloved first granddaughter, and first grandchild, but I watch my baby
daughter, and youngest child suffer a pain and sorrow I can not correct or stop. I saw the
sparkle leave your eyes, and I watched you become bitter, and angry, as you tried to deal
with your pain and loss. I know that you realize how much I love you and mother
would stop your pain, and tears if only I could.
Mom & Christy
You married so young and had your two children only
thirteen months apart. Oh how we marveled at what a great mother you were. your world
evolved around your children. They were a delight to you and you always wanted them near
you. You shopped together, played together, cried together, and never ever forgot to say
" I love you" to each other every single day. Hugs and kisses were a natural
part of your lives. You always said it was because you couldn't remember if you kissed
your daddy goodby or said " I love you" that day, when you were eight years old.
He didn't come home again. He couldn't, because he went to heaven to live with God.
I couldn't go outside to the garden without kissing you and we had
to say our "I love you's" before I could go next door. Your friends would laugh
at you because you had to kiss your mother and tell her you loved her before you went
outside to play. They didn't understand as their daddy's had never gone to town and
couldn't come back home because God took him on to heaven without letting him say goodby.
You lost someone you loved so young and it taught you life's hard lesson, that we can not
know when or where our life on earth will end, and it left you with that inner fear of not
having said goodby and I love you. You made sure it never happened again.
We both have the satisfaction and peace of mind, knowing our
Christy knew how loved she was.
You not only through your loving ways showed
her how to love, but your love made her a loving,
affectionate person. I cherish the words of love,
and hugs she gave so freely. Thank You My
loving Daughter.
