Usagi is a normal 14 year old girl when the series starts. One day she sees a cat who tells her she's Sailor Moon, but more about that later. Usagi is thought to be a klutzy crybaby, but in the end she always comes through for her friends............except the times she doesn't. Usagi is an "incurable romantic" like almost every girl. She has 2 major crushes throughout the story: Motoki and Mamoru. And Motoki is her crush in Sailor Moon. She thinks he's a real hottie but he doesn't return the feelings. Serena trails Andrew everywhere (maybe thats why she likes video games so much!). Later she develops a crush on Mamoru, who lovingly calls her odango atama or meatball head. At the end of Sailor Moon, Usagi and Mamoru find out they are "destined to be together" and for that short period of time are in love. Of course something happens. Mamoru forgets all about being Tuxedo Mask after fighting Queen Beryl. OK, OK, nuff said. I can't tell you the WHOLE PLOT of Sailor Moon!
In the Japanese series, Serena's name is Tsukino Usagi which means Rabbit of the Moon. Her characteristics aren't exactly that of a super heroine. At the beginning she runs away crying from battles. But deep down she is a real heroine.
Super Sailor Moon
Super Sailor Moon, what can I say? Pretty much the same as regular ol' Sailor Moon except a different motive. Instead of fighting normal evil by moonlight, she has to keep Professor Tomoe from finding the 3 Talismans. Once Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto form the Holy Grail with their Talismans, Sailor Moon gets a new transformation. She uses this transformation to become stronger, but only uses it when she has to. I mean, what will they come out with next? Super Duper Sailor Moon?
And the saga begins..........At the end of the first season, the Sailor senshi learn that Usagi is the Moon Princess that they've been searching for. They learn the entire story of their origin, going back to the long-ago days of the Moon Kingdom and the Silver Millenium.
1000 years ago, Usagi was the Princess of the Moon, Princess Serenity. Her mother was Queen Serenity. Princess Serenity fell in love with a prince from Earth, Prince Endymion. He returns the love and they could have and probably would have lived happily ever after except Beryl fought with the Shadows. Queen Serenity knew that she could not defeat them, so she used the Silver Crystal (which she knew would kill herself) to transport her daughter and her daughter's friends/protecters to Earth. They are reborn on earth and then find out that they are Sailor Senshi. There you have it. Now let me rest my hands for a while!
Neo-Queen Serenity
Neo-Queen Serenity is talked about alot in Sailor Moon R. Chibiusa is trying to save her Mommy and needs the Senshis' help. They are transported to the future by Chibiusa's Crystal Key. Soon they meet King Endymion, who is Mamoru's future self. Endymion says that Usagi is Neo-Queen Serenity and that Chibiusa (or Small Lady) is their daughter. He also says that he was the one giving them the bad dreams. Endymion says he wasn't sure their love was strong enough but now he knows it is (I kinda forget. I haven't watched that episode in a long time). Well, anyway, Neo-Queen Serenity is imprisoned in a crystal. Sailor Moon and the Senshi go back to the present and fight Death Phantom. They defeat him. I think its funny when he says: "No one is as strong as the Death........". He was cut off because he died! Hah! Well, thats pretty much all I have to say about Usagi and her many selves!
