A Rendering by Keeper Of Dreams
That which had started out as a whole empire, was destroyed. Many, many people of this world were in shock, wandering to & fro, not knowing where to go.
A few wise souls knew that everyone needed a new home to call their own. The clans were called together and a plan was set into action:
The entire kingdom would set out on a quest for the perfect place to rebuild their castle. It would take time planning all of this. Many became restless and chose to go off on their own. This broke many a heart to lose family members.
I, myself chose to stay and dream of this wonderful "Castle Quest". As I lay sleeping, I saw a beautiful castle, nestled in an enchanted forest. All around were fairies, unicorns, swans, mermaids, eagles, spirits & many more marvelous creatures.
We decided that this would be the perfect place to start anew. Everyone pitched in to create a castle fit for royalty. There were rooms for minstrels, jesters, ladies-in-waiting, scribes, dreamers, knights, princes & princesses. The crowning glory was the royal throne room where we would place those worthy to hold the title and protect the kingdom.
This I dreamed, for you last night. May even a part of it come true. I want a new home.....
And so our journey began. A group of people, with a common need.... gathering together to create a dream. After many false starts in different directions, they finally came together to create that dream.... thus the birth of Camelot Dreams.
This has become my home. My oasis in the storm. These people may be faceless and nameless to some, but to me they have become my family. I don't need faces to tell me that there is a heart behind the nick on a screen. With their sites, they tell me about themselves. With the email groups we all belong to, they again, give insight into themselves.... and I am proud to call them my family and friends.
The beginning story was written by a friend of mine and is placed on the Camelot Dreams entrance page. It tells the tale of how CD's came to be... please visit her site "Lady In Dreams" to find out more about her.
The original graphic used for the banner on this page is called "Arthurs2" and was created by a very talented artist, Beelzebulb. Please visit his site to see more of his wonderful art.
