This is my mom (with my sister). She passed away from Cancer a few years ago, after a long battle. Even though we didn't get along for way too many years, we were finally able to patch up our differences in the last years.... thank God. I miss her.. and all those lost years, but I know she is in a better place, and with the grace of God, I will see her again someday.

My mom was a headstrong woman, very opinionated. But she had a great sense of humor and could make you laugh!! Even though my sister and her were closer that we were, the stories my sister would tell me of her "adventures" with mom would have me rolling with laughter!! Not only could she make you laugh with what she would say, but by her actions.... she was just a funny woman all around, and never even had to try at it! THAT is what made her sense of humor so special... it was natural.

Her one true passion was.... Elvis!! She loved all his movies and music... and if she could have, she would have owned everything in the world pertaining to him. I know she would have LOVED to have met the King, but not sure HE would have survived it..... LOL The following picture is for you mom.....

They say that you become your parent's after you have your own children. I always said "NO WAY".... hahaha ... but the joke is on me!! There are sooooo many times that I can hear my Mom's voice coming out of my mouth...

My parents had their good side as well as their bad side... and I know now that the truth is there in that statement above... we DO become our parent's to some extent. If we choose to take the good aspects and make them our own... hopefully we will instill them in our own children... a legacy I suppose.

From my Mom... I would like to pass on the sense of humor she had, and the fortitude to make due with what you have... to carry on no matter what. Making the best of things seemed to be her life's motto. She didn't have much in this world, but she made do and still retained her sense of humor. In the face of troubles, I try to remember that and try to "make the best of things" as my mother did.

Tears in Heaven

Song Lyrics

Would you know my name..If I saw you in heaven..
Would it be the same..If I saw you in heaven..

I must be strong..And carry on..
Cause I know I don't belong in heaven..

Would you help me stand..If I saw you in heaven..
Would you help me stand..If I saw you in heaven..

I'll find my way..Thru night and day..
Cause I know I don't belong in heaven....

Time can bring you down..Time can bend your knees..
Time can break your heart..Have you beggin please..
Beggin please!..

Would you hold my hand..If I saw you in heaven..
Would you help me stand..If I saw you in heaven..

Beyond the door..There's peace I'm sure..
And I know there'll be no more..
Tears in heaven.

Recorded live at the Hanalei Hotel Lounge in San Diego, this song has so much meaning and deep feeling of loss and love. And the great hope of seeing the ones you love again in the after life. I do have hope!
