Chrusciki
"Angel Wings"
5 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. salt
5 Tbs. sour cream
2 Tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cup to 2 cups flour
1 tsp. whiskey or rum
Add salt to egg yolks, beat till thick.
Add sugar, cream, whiskey or rum and vanilla.
Add flour a cup at a time until a soft
dough forms that will roll out easily.
Mix well, put on a floured board and knead
till smooth and firm. Take a little
at a time and roll out very thin. Cut
into 4 " strips about 1 1/2 " wide.
Slit piece in center, pull one end through
the slit.
Fry in hot deep fat till lightly brown.
Drain.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when
cool.
