The 1998 Academy awards!

At the recent Academy awards, Titanic, written and directed by James Cameron and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, picked up 11 awards out of 14 nominations, equalling the record for the highest number of Oscars won by a motion picture. Titanic recieved the following awards:

Best picture
Best director (James Cameron)
Best art direction
Best cinematography
Best sound
Best sound effects editing
Best dramatic score (James Horner)
Best original song (My heart will go on)
Best costume
Best film editing
Best visual effects

Titanic also recieved the following nominations for:

Best actress (Kate Winslet)
Best supporting actress (Gloria Stuart)
Best make-up
