Welcome to my page of Hotbar skins. Most of these are, in some way vampire- or death-themed, though there are (or will be) a few that just tickle my fancy but have nothing to do with vampires. But since I'm the boss here, I'll put up whatever I like. And since my twisted sense of humor was voted this site's best feature (though, what does that say about my content?), you should be able to fully appreciate it in this very visible form.
If you're wondering why there aren't a lot of black or otherwise darkly-colored hotbars, the reason is this: if the background is black, then your buttons won't show up on your hotbar. So, for now, vampires will just have to frolic across not-too-busy scenes of white, taupe and muted gray. And what's the best settings for your hotbar? I have designed these skins to fit my hotbar, which has every toolbar selected but the radio bar, with the address bar about halfway across the screen and only one link visible. This gives me maximum room in the right-hand corner for pictures and text. You may notice, on pages that do not have any hotbar shortcut buttons, that my web page title shows up. I purposefully put this in a somewhat inconspicous place, so please don't think I am a designing idiot. And lastly, by accessing this page, you should now have a hotbar button labeled "Vampires" which provides a quick link directly to my page from anywhere on the web. And if there isn't one, don't bother to tell me about it; I wouldn't know how to fix it at any rate. As it was, it took me a lot of finagling to get all of this to work!
This skin has to be my favorite. The quote is from The Simpsons and the image is of Vampire Hunter D. Both are copyrighted by their respective owners.
This skin features an image from a medieval manuscript and the quote is from an Irish woman's grave. Rock on Audrey!
This is actually a scanned image from a beermat (that's Irish for "coaster") that I brought back from St. Francis' Brewery (where they make Smithwick's beer), Kilkenny, Ireland. I loved it instantly because any fool can see the vampire overtones in it. The image and logo is copyrighted by Guinness. I'll be socially responsible and tell you mortals: Don't drink and drive.
I think this skin is beautiful, if sad. The image is of Vampire Princess Miyu and her demon counterpart/love interest Larva (I know, horrible name). Kyuuketsuki Miyu is copyrighted by Narumi Kakinouchi, AnimEigo, AIC, et al. The picture was provided by the lovely, picture-sharing Countess. The quote is from the song "Dust in the Wind" and is copyrighted by and originally performed by Kansas.
A beautiful ode to Japanese anime featuring, again, Vampire Princess Miyu. This picture too was provided by Countess and copyrighted by Narumi Kakinouchi, AnimEigo, AIC, et al.
This is a spoof on that new seatbelt commercial where deer run out in front of a man's truck, coupled with a take on "Don't Drink and Drive." Can you believe that I actually found that picture of a telephone pole online? Just goes to show you...
Everyone's favorite cereal is now a hotbar skin. The image is copyrighted by General Mills and the quote is copyright of Conan O'Brien.
These have absolutely nothing to do with vampires, but nonetheless, they should brighten your web-surfing experience.
