Lee Walter Flood

Lee Walter Flood was born on December 24, 1891 in Mountain View, Missouri, and passed away on Wednesday evening, 7:30, June 10, 1970, at the age of 78 years, 5months and 17 days.  He was at the West Vue Nursing Home in West Plains, Mo, when he died.
Lee was the eldest son of Thomas H. and Laura Ann Flood.  He was married to Bertha Mae Yarber on October 11, 1917, and to this union were born two daughters.
In addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by four grandchildren.  Also three sisters and three brothers.
Lee was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, being added by the Lord on November 25, 1962, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He was a Veteran of World War I.
Lee spent most of his life in Mtn. View, where he was always known as a good neighbor, and a public-spirited citizen.  He was Constable of Goldsbury Township for several years, and served on the Town Board at different times.
He and his brothers were partners in the ice plant business for many years.  After selling out his share of the business, he worked at the flooring mill until he retired about ten years ago.
He was a good husband, and a kind and loving father.  He will be missed by his family and by his many friends.
 


 

Card of Thanks

The members of the Lee Flood family wish to express their sincere thanks to their friends who helped at the death of teir husband and father.
We want to thank those visited Lee while he ws in the hospital; those who helped to much with their prayers, cards, and flowers; those who sang in the choir; those who served as pallbearers; and those who brought food to our home.
And especially we want to thank Carl Bell for his wonderful service and Brother Stuckey for his comforting words.
