Samuel Sylvester Price
Samuel Sylvester Price, 79, passed away at
1:15 p.m. on Monday, September 5, at the Page Memorial Hospital,
where he had been a patient for only three days. Mr. Price had suffered
failing health for the last three years. He had resided in Stanley.
On December 25, 1886 in Page County, he was born to the union of the late
William and Rebecca Price. He served as sales clerk in the Robinson's
Store in Stanley for a number years. He was an active member of the Stanley
Seventh Day Adventist Church. On December 29, 1909, he married the former
Annie A. Painter, who survives.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons,
Paul R. Price, of Falls Church; Alfred F. Price, of Beltsville; three daughters,
Mrs. Thelma Duvall, of Douglasville, Ga.; Mrs. Alma Goode, of Stanley;
Mrs. Ella Pohle, of Takoma Park;
ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Last rites will be conducted (today) Thursday,
Sept. 8, at 2:30 p.m. from the Stanley Seventh Day Adventist Church with
the Eld. Clarence Schram in charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
