"I was born in Lumpkin County, Georgia, twenty miles south of Dahlonega, at Yellow Creek Court Ground, January 30, 1839.  My Father was Wade (Waddell) L. Yarborough, who was born in Franklin County, N.C. and my mother was Jane Turner, born in Warren County, N.C. near the Roanoke River which runs the dividing line between Warren and Franklin Counties.  They married and came to this State in the fall of 1838, setting in the locality above mentioned, where I was born."
