The electrons in Shiva’s aura begin to go into overdrive, and within seconds, he lays waste to the monsters that had entered the city. The rest quickly retreat.
Sarah could feel her heart being ripped out for she feels that she had sent Adol on a mission of certain doom. She covers her face and runs back to her house as fast as he can.
“Hmm, Sarah? Sarah, what’s wrong?”
Shiva leaves the villagers behind as he runs after Sarah, following her back into her house.
“S…Sarah?”
Sarah was lying upon her bed crying her heart out. Something was indeed bothering her, yet Shiva didn't know what. He slowly approaches her and sets down beside her.
“Sarah, what’s wrong? Talk to me. There’s no need to cry.”
“Sh…Shiva…What have I done? I…I asked Adol to see my aunt Jevah, and I sent him on a mission to restore peace to our land by recovering the lost books of Ys. I thought that….he would be the hero that I foresaw to save our world, but…but it seems that YOU are the one that possesses the power! Oh Shiva, what have I done? I’ve just send an innocent man to his death!”
Sarah embraces Shiva in tears and he slowly embraces her back, looking upon her tear streaked face.
“Don’t cry Sarah, a face as pretty as yours needn’t be ladden with sadness. Shhhh. You didn’t send anyone to they’re doom. I’ll leave out tomorrow to check on the young man, and I’ll find those mystic books while I’m at it. Please don’t cry anymore.”
“Shiva, I…I…”
“You looked after me when I was wounded. The least I can do is to rid this world of evil, or die trying. I swear it on my honor as a Dragon Knight.”
Sarah looks up into Shiva’s eyes and for a brief moment, there was nothing but silence. Shiva holds Sarah’s gentle face in his hands and leans forward to kiss her.
Sarah’s eyes widen in surprise, and she kisses him back. They remain that way, lips locked, well into the oncoming night.
The following morning, Sarah rises from her bed and gets her clothes and her robe together. She covers Shiva up and kisses him upon the forehead as she heads to her kitchen and begins to boil a pot of tea for them. It was apparent that she had indeed fallen in love with the young man, but she still without an idea of how he felt about her.
“Well, after last night I’d think he…..Shiva! Good morning!”
Sarah runs up to the Dragon Knight and throws her arms around his neck kissing him once more. He embraces her and kisses her back, looking into her eyes.
“Sarah, I…I……After I destroy the evil within Darm Tower, I want….to spend the rest of my life with you. I wanna marry you. I know that we haven’t known each other that long, but I…I love you.”
After spending so much of her time alone, Sara was overwhelmed at Shiva’s confession and she happily accepted his proposal.
They enjoy a nice breakfast and Shiva prepares his armor, ready to head out to Darm Tower.
“I’ll take care of this in no time my love. I’ll destroy this evil, check in on Adol, and be back to cook you dinner!”
He kisses her once more and smiles as he departs Placid Row. Sarah looks ater him until he was far out of sight.
“Come back soon my love,” she thinks to herself. “I look forward to spending the rest of……Hmmm?”
Sarah walks back into her house and peers at her crystal ball, which had began to glow a with a brilliant white light. As she began to examine the ball, her face suddenly fills with fear and sadness as she drops her head.
“If…..if it is my destiny…Shiva…I….I’m sorry.”
