The following information was taken from page 119 of the book, “Go on Singing”. The author of the book is Richard G. Champion:
You need a new song not for variety or for amusement. You need a new song because God is continually doing new things. Thus you need new songs to praise him for the new things he is doing. Every great revival has produced new songs. But you needn’t wait for a revival. God’s mercies are new every morning. So if new mercies call for new songs, you can have a new song every day! Look at the book of Revelation. Jesus is the theme of the song there. So as you go on singing, make him the theme of your every song now. Every manifestation of God’s love and greatness ought to make you sing a new song.
