Artistry Of Aging Hands
I gaze upon the precious heirloom
Draped across the table
Made by aging hands
When they were capable and able...
Images fleeting through my mind
Crippled hands worn with time
Fingers moving swiftly
Crocheting with cotton,
So soft, sheen and fine..
Exquisite masterpiece
Webbed like lace
Smiles of satisfaction
Settled on her face...
Perfection and artistry
Worked with pride
Ne'er missing a stitch
Pacing her stride...
Divine beauty,
Canvas of thread
Hours of toil
Upon her lap spread...
Touch of excellence
Finished work of art
Crocheted tapestry
Hooked with her heart...
