Allen Stegall's father apparently appeared from out of nowhere, married Allen's mother, had Allen (perhaps other children), then disappeared as mysteriously as he came. This has led some in the family to speculate that he may have been a wanted criminal. It also has been speculated that "Stegall" may not have even been his real name.
