The first frost, glistening on trees, grass and roofs. The colors...Mother Nature puts away her Summer wardrobe and takes on all the vibrant colors of Fall..gold, orange, burgandy.

Fallen Leaves

A swirl of leaves,
colors brilliant against the sun.
Gold, orange, burgandy,
and bright yellow ones.

Fall is in the air
summer slowly closing her door.
A wistfulness arises,
yes, that, but something more.

The expectation of the harvest,
a busy time of year.
Getting ourselves ready for
Winter's coming splendor.
