7/15/02 - Tonight while standing at the foot of my mother's bed, I glanced up and I saw another puppy!! I growled, snarled, and barked at him but he refused to leave. This really upset me so I growled, snarled and barked LOUDER!! Then I turned and walked away thinking, "That'll teach him to invade MY territory!!!!"

**Mom's note: Shadow was certainly impressive in his ferocity!! Unfortunately he was looking in the mirror at the time. :-)

August 13 2002 - Well I'm growing by leaps and bounds. I'm an active little guy who wants all the attention too!!! But my mommy took me for my booster shots and we learned that I have a hernia. Seems that puppies like me have those sometime. I gotta have something called 'surgery'. Mom tries to explain it to me, but all I hear is that it will make me all better!!! My surgery is scheduled for Friday August 16th. When it's all done, I'll get mom to tell ya all about it.

August 18, 2002 - Well I made it through the surgery, piece'a cake I tell ya!!! My mom picked me up and brought me home and was it ever good to be home!! I had to run around all over the house to make sure everything was as it should be!! Now it's nap time!!

thinking she could out bite me!! I showed her!!

August 26, 2002 - They took me back to that awful place today. I was afraid they might be gonna leave me there again. But my mama held me while they pulled those little threads out of my tummy, and BOY DID it hurt!!! But my mama let me bite on her finger and she whispered in my ear and before I knew it, it was all over and we were on our way home. I had to have a bath as soon as I got back home but I guess I probably needed it after 2 weeks without one!!! And my tummy feels so much better and I can run and jump and play and mommy don't get so nervous.
