PEARLS OF WISDOM
Here are a few of the "little things" that I have learned along the way...most of which I wish I had known AGES AGO! You will find commom sense things here, and a few complex things, ......and maybe a few things that will make you laugh, but sooner or later they will all come in handy if you are going to do HTML...enjoy!
When you are on a page and have highlighted your text if you press the SPACE BAR whatever is highlighted will Disappear! ( Which if you are at the bottom of a long code will make you want to scream..LOL )
If the word you are highlighting is on the page more than once, you can press CMD G and go to the last one on the page......
Pressing CMD B will back you up one word at a time...
ALL of your arrow keys will work with highlighed text. You may move in all directions if you need to.....
When you copy something you will "carry" it around until you are turned off...or until you copy something else....you don't have to paste on the same page that you copied it from.
For advanced users:
If you are "gif shopping" for your site, and dont want to run back to the transloader every seven gifs....just do this:
1. Do your GOTO..screen and get your URL. Now copy it.
2. On the next image, pull up your goto screen
and get the URL for that image.
3. BEFORE you highlight press your spacebar three times, and then paste the URL you have in copy right behind your new URL.
4. NOW..CMD A and C and you have Both URL'S.
5. I have done as many as 50 that way...working on my image tables...and then use a multi-file transloader, and POW!! Shopping made easy!!
There can be NO SPACES in your addresses when you type them.....
When you are pasting a code into your signature box for your mail, you have to make sure your cursor is PERFECTLY up in the top left corner. If there is a space between the "corner" and your <HTML>, then your sigg will not show up....
