While Jesus was here upon Earth in His physical body, dealing with all kinds of people, answering questions, there came unto Him some people that did not believe in the resurrection and asked Him a question. Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also. In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. Mark 12:18-35 Now you and I know what these verses tell us. But we also know that the in-depth truth about angels is made very clear. Let us look at this reckoning: Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him, Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children. And the second took her to wife, and he died childless. And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died. Last of all the woman died also. Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. Luke 20:27-36. Now let us reason together on that great subject, "The Angels That Are and Angels That Shall Be". In Mark 12:24, Jesus said, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? (It should be noted that Jesus used the plural word, "scriptures". Apparently, there was more than one scripture they did not "understand". It is also recorded that He said, Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. Luke 20:36. So there can be no doubt. As long as the resurrection of a body shall be, there will be one more angel to serve as children of our great and powerful God and Jesus Christ, our Blessed Lord. As you and I know after reading over and over again and again the Book of Revelation, we find the recorder of that book (John) so moved and inspired by the Spirit of the the book (angel) that he (John) fell down to worship him (the angel). And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Revelation 22:7-9. |
Angels |
The Creator of all things has said, Who maketh his angels spirits.. Psalm 104:4. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrew 1:14. [Messengers] to the heirs of salvation -- not to win souls or preach the everlasting gospel. |
The Son Superior to Angels |
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.> Hebrews 1:6. The angels were created, but Christ the Son was begotten by the Holy Ghost and born by the virgin Mary, so all the angels worship Him. Hebrews 1:6. |
Created Angels Have A Willpower to Choose |
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? Isaiah 14:12-17. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1,2. (I urge you to read the rest of that chapter.) In light of this scripture (the entire chapter), we see here not only did the son of the morning play havoc with the earth that God had created good and very good. But the son of the morning influenced one-third of the created angels to follow him (worship him) and they all, with him, became prisoners. And though he has great powers, he cannot deliver himself, nor can he open the house of his prisoners. |

The Origin of Sin |
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 6. We can see from this that they had power to choose--they chose to leave their first estate. The fallen spirits (angels) are at work in this age (world) with the fallen lucifer, satan, the devil, going forth from one end of the earth to the other. They are deceiving people, portraying themselves as "angels of light" and recruiting many followers. But the "chains" let us know they can only go so far and no further. In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 3:1,2. John, the forerunner of Christ, warned that the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand. Then Jesus, the Savior who John had foretold, began to preach, with the same message: Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:12-17 When the Disciples received The Great Commission from Christ, And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 10:7), Jesus warned them: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:3-14. |

The Thief Seeks To Steal The Sheep! |
The first thing the enemy of our souls, the devil, seeks to destroy or damage is our ability to hear the whole truth of God's Word. If/when he succeeds in that effort, our understanding is darkened. God wants us to understand just how He, Our Heavenly Father, works. He works, as we know, so we must work, too. It has well been said of late, "The harvest is in the field." |
