| Yes, We Can Do More! |
| We need to move out of the church walls and get out to where the real need is. It is not just amongst our own little church family. You will find "whosoever", the same "whosoever" spoken of in the Word of God, whosoever needs our help. We have found, through our ministry, that people of all denominations will respect and listen to you. |
| Ye are the light of the world... Matthew 5:14. If we are to follow Jesus in this world, we must open our mouth as He did and let our light shine. Everywhere He went, He found people in need. So, He opened His mouth and taught them. By doing so, He was the light of the world. |
| We, in and of ourselves, are as powerless as Gideon and his 300 were until the pitchers were broken. So we must break the picture of self and get on with God's work! |
| May I suggest to you what I do believe to be the grass root which leads, for the most part, to family differences? Especially here and today, the day in which we are presently living: spending more than our income. When we think we have to keep up the Joneses (or whomever), who are more able to own elaborate things than we are, we set out to do so. We get ourselves in debt so deeply, we can't make the payments, much less have a little extra for serious needs that may arise from time to time. They always manage to crop up unexpectedly. We have to call this groping for material possesssions, most of which we don't need, P R I D E. |
| So the best advice I can give is to just be ourselves and live within our means (budget). May I say, I have known a few young couples that have separated for a short period of time just to find out for themselves that it was even more trouble. Thank God, they have taken the necessary steps and come back together, and are living a much happier life (together) and raising their families in church. This just adds God's blessings to their efforts, which makes them rich and adds no sorrow. |
