Our God Is A Sovereign God!

Would He do less for the New Testament Church than He did for the Old?
He will do what is right and perfect in all ways. The Old Testament Church went down to Egypt because of a famine in the land of Canaan. The number that went down was three-score and ten. Joseph was already there in Egypt, which made the total number seventy-one. They were there four hundred and thirty years to the day. Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:40,41.
And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. Exodus 12:37. (It does not mention women as being counted in that number, either.)
He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. Psalm 105:37. Not one feeble person amongst them!
The night before they departed, they ate the Passover Lamb behind closed doors with their shoes on their feet and their staffs in their hands, in total surrender and with obedient hearts, ready for the forward march. Now that is being prepared to move quickly--and they were ready to do so!
Good-bye, Egypt, Good-bye! They left old Egypt behind. Read all about it in Exodus, Chapter 12.

The Passover Lamb

The "Passover Lamb" as mentioned above, is in reference to Jesus Christ, our Lord, today.
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:13-19.
What a powerful passage of Scripture! This church is more specifically described in Ephesians, Chapters 2, 3, and 4. For now, let's take a look at some verses in Ephesians, Chapter 4:
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:11-16.
This is just how He uses us to bring His church into the unity of the faith, and having grown into a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Having completed the (His) church, He will come back again in the clouds and will call His church up to meet Him in the air. So shall we ever be with Him:
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

The Big Question Is: What Is It
Going To Take To Bring His Church Into Unity?

A revival of the pure in heart. It could be brought about by an international crisis, which in turn could lead to nations coming together and signing a peace agreement (the signing of a peace agreement is going to be, and that we do know!) The revival as mentioned above in recorded in Matthew:
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:1-13.
Only the ones that are awakened by the midnight cry will be ready to meet the challenge. The sad part is only one-half of them will be ready to go immediately with Him to the marriage supper. What about the second, or remaining half? They find a closed door!
The revival could be brought about by a special visitation of God as has been in the past. Such as was in Gideon's day and many others since then.
A sudden deluge, breath-taking, doubt-fleeing, mountain-moving Holy Ghost-shouting revival, which would bring about a united awakening amongst the pure in heart so close to the coming of the Lord! Like a Quick Work, and then cometh the end.
What do you think? Would it not move God on His throne for the New Testament Church to become as willing and as obedient as the Old was the day before their departure from Egypt? Would He not heal every member of the body of Christ instantly?
May the Great and Wonderful God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, do so real soon. Amen!
