National Guard Capt. John Bowlin, with the 2nd Squadron
of the 278th Regimental Combat Team, threw out the
first pitch at the Greeneville Astros baseball game
against Elizabethton on Sunday at Pioneer Park. Capt.
Bowlin is serving at Forward Operating Base Bernstein
in northern Iraq as an operations officer. He is home
in Greeneville on a two-week leave and departs for Iraq
next Monday. He and his wife, Christy,have a
two-year-old daughter, Emma.
