RELIEF AGENCIES ARE PREPARING FOR SEVEN HUNDRED (700) PEOPLE WHO WILL BE EVACUATED TO KNOXVILLE FROM THE HURRICANE AREA.

THEY WILL BE HOUSED AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLLISEUM, UNTIL MORE PERMANENT ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE. WORKERS ORGANIZING THE SHELTER IN KNOXVILLE SAY THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO TO HELP IS BRING DONATIONS OF FOOD, OR MONEY TO THE SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, WHICH WILL BE IN CHARGE OF SUPPLYING FOOD TO BE PREPARED FOR THE SEVEN HUNDRED.

STAY TUNED TO NEWSTALK 100 FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THE RELIEF AND RESCUE EFFORTS.
