The Herculoids meet the alien who sent the pod creatures.

"Peace and quiet here on Amzot," Zandor sighed. "And no alien invaders to spoil things."
Tundro roared in agreement.
Dorno and Gleep were flying around on Zok, when they noticed a spaceship. Gleep made a strange noise.
Dorno understood what the little blob was saying. "I don't know WHAT it is, or why it's here, Gleep," he answered. "We'd better call Zandor!"
Zok let out a loud cry. Zandor, Tara, Igoo, Tundro, and Gloop all heard it.
"The danger signal!" Zandor exclaimed. "Aliens are attacking!"
The group hastened to Dorno's location. They saw the ship firing at the trio. Zok was fighting back with his laser rays.
"We've got to help them!" Zandor realized. He and Tundro fired energy rocks at the craft.
Suddenly, the pilot of the ship spoke. "Do not fire, Herculoids," he warned. "I will launch a counter attack, and destroy you."
Everyone ceased fire. "Who are you?" Zandor asked.
"I am Greelon. You never met me, but it was I who sent the pod creatures to this planet a long time ago."
Zok landed on the ground, and Dorno and Gleep got off his back.
"The pod creatures!" Dorno cried. "I remember them."
"I have no further use for them," Greelon revealed. "But I do have a weapon that will enable me to succeed in my original goal."
He landed his spaceship, and emerged. He was a tall man with a thick beard.
"Show us your weapon," Zandor ordered.
"Here it is," Greelon replied. He held a baton in his hand. "This baton will instantly annihilate any object when its ray is fired."
As a demonstration, he aimed the baton at a boulder. The big rock was instantly disintegrated.
"Once you Herculoids are out of the way, Amzot will be mine," he gloated.
"Not if I can help it," Zandor snapped. "Gloop! Get it away from him!"
Gloop stretched his elastic body, and grabbed the baton from Greelon's hand. Then he handed it to Zandor.
Zandor then handed it to Igoo, who threw it to the ground, and smashed it with his foot.
"And now to make doubly sure it can never be used again," Tara said. "Zok!"
Zok fired his lasers at the broken baton. In less than a minute, it was gone from sight.
"Your baton is gone forever, Greelon," Zandor said. "And you'd better be gone yourself!"
"I will leave for now, Zandor," Greelon answered. "But I'll be back with another way to conquer this planet."
"And we'll be ready for you!" Zandor, Tara, and Dorno informed him.
Greelon got back in his spaceship, and took off.
"Come on," Zandor said. "Let's go home."
