The remains of Bayard Hart, son of Mr. Wm, Hart, were brought to New Hermon, last Saturday and buried, after a funeral service conducted by Elders J.D. Floyd and J.A. Kerby.
Bayard was 23 years of age. He had been gone from home only two months and it was indeed a great shock to his family and friends when they received the message that he was killed last Wednesday night. He was working at Bells, Texas, at a cotton gin and was accidentally caught in a belt and thrown against a post and killed almost instantly. The entire community is grieved over his untimely death.
