The Way to peace with God is Jesus Christ.
He said:"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Again He said:"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved,..." And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. |
Recognize
Before you can have a Savior, you must recognize your need for one.
The Apostle Paul wrote that:" the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." We hear it all the time,"nobody's perfect." The Bible agrees,"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" That imperfect nature of our has serious consequences:" Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. |
It is one thing to recognize or sinful nature. It is another to want to do something about it. God has a remedy for the guilt and shame of sin...repentance.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Peter said it like this:Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; |
Receive Jesus...that's it..that's the key to salvation and peace with God.
John said of Jesus:"He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. |
