Phi Mu looks at Lambuth

In November 1968 Louise Horn(Executive Secretary) and Kathy Myrick(Field Secretary) came to Lambuth University to interview girls who were interested in starting a chapter of Phi Mu. On November 17, 1968 a get-aquainted tea was held in Wisdom Parlor. Preference cards were signed and Formal Pledging was held on November 25.

Helpful and Loving Alumnae

Two women were very vital in helping these first pledges become Phi Mu's. Mrs. Arthur D. Oxley and Mrs. Horace Geyer both helped with the pledge activities for the girls. Mrs. Geyer went on to become the first adviser for the Kappa Nu chapter and Mrs. Oxley was the official alumnae adviser for 1969-1970.

Instillation

March 22, 1969 was the day of instillation for the Kappa Nu Chapter of Phi Mu on the campus of Lambuth University. The National Collegiate Vice-President, Ada Martin Henry, helped with initiation and instillation of the Kappa Nu Chapter along with many of the ladies of the Kappa Lambda from Memphis State(now University of Memphis).
