Sheriff Danny Cunningham

A Long History of Public Service

Sheriff Cunningham is a Graduate of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Acadmey.

In 1972 he became Chief Deputy of the Obion County Sheriffs Department under Sheriff Nathan Cunningham.

In 1978 he was Elected Sheriff of Obion County, Tennessee.

From 1982 to 1988 he again served as Chief Deputy of the Obion County Sheriffs Department under Sheriff Nathan Cunningham.

In 1988 he became a Detention Facility Specialist for the State of Tennessee.

In 1998 he was Elected Sheriff of Obion County, Tennessee and am still proudly serving as your Sheriff today.

Currently he is an active member of the Tennessee National Guard 1171st Transportation Unit.

A Message from the Sheriff

In 1998 I was elected Sheriff of Obion County, Tennessee and have had the honor of being your Sheriff for the past four years. I believe in fair and honest Law Enforcement for all of the citizens of Obion County. I enjoy serving the people of Obion County and being Sheriff is the best postion possible to be a servant for the people of this county.

I will always have time for each individual and no problem is too small or too large. My door and phone line is always open to anyone who needs me. I'll make the citizens of Obion County a Promise on being re-elected as your Sheriff- " I will do the best job possible as Sheriff of Obion County and continue to make it an office that is respected and one the citizens of Obion County can be proud of..."
