| The Southern Women Secret Sister program was designed to encourage us to meet and visit the other women in our group. Since beginning the program, a few changes have been made. For instance we became the "Simply Southern Sisters" program recently to help anyone who wants to participate not feel so "stretched" in trying to accomodate the program and her "secret sister". You may join the Secret Sister program anytime you wish.
Simply Southern Sister's Guidelines are as follows: You may keep your identity secret from your sisters or you may sign your gifts, it's entirely up to you. Please if at all possible try to spoil your sisters with ecards, adoptions, graphic gifts, etc as many times as your time allows. Please don't forget your secret sisters..especially in times of need..ie..sickness, loss, etc..this makes for some very sad sisters and we Southern Belles never make our sisters sad and unhappy. If an emergency arises and you can not continue with the Simply Sister program, please let MJ know so that we can take care of this. The best rule and possible the most important...Have fun!!!!!! Help with graphics is available if you go to the committee pages HERE and email the correct committee member. This is where you will receive the help you need in HTML and graphics. Remember...you can surf the internet for great adoptions for your simply sisters...make a simple webpage (if you know HTML) ...or even a friendly email to wish her/them a happy day for no reason at all....all these things go toward having a wonderful time in this program and you will get to know your simply siters so much better. We also recently opened an egroup account for Simply Sisters. This has made it much easier to communicate with the whole group. As a result, sharing our daily lives has become routine. We have become so much "closer" and the whole group is accessible when you need them or simply need a listening ear. Ladies...it is always great to give and receive these gifts from each other, but I think the "reaching out" to each other, no matter where we are or who we are, is the best part. I am gaining so much insight into who each of the simply sisters are. I watch the response to gifts received and the joy they bring to the recipient. I see the "smiles" and the "laughter", the joking, but also the prayers requested and the support offered. And I am learning that women in the south really Do care about each other.
