2002 Drumline Line-Up

Drum Captain / Section Leader: Alan Fey

2002 Percussion Lineup:

Tenors
Alan Fey- Big Gay Al is our fearless leader once again(He's not gay...really). Being the best percussionist in the great state of Tennessee, we are sure he will do an awesome job despite everything that is bound to go wrong. This will be his 2nd year as our captain and 3rd year being a BIG PIMP TOMNER! Oh yeah, he might do that Rooster thing he does so well. Alan also has a kewl vibe solo when he's not playing tenors in the show.
Snares
Veronica Belitz- Vern or V-funk also joined the snareline after playing in the bass line as a freshman. You'd think playing snare was cool or something. Veronica has also worked really hard to catch up to the level of the veteran snares. Who's that makin' that funky noise?

Levi Coldiron- This will be Levi's 4th year on snare and first as center snare. After 3 years on the end he's ready to be in the center. But only for 2 songs in the show; during the middle two songs he grounds his drum and lays down some phat beats on the drum kit. - Snare Captain

Jenn Hawkins- Jenn joins the snareline for the 2nd year as a junior. She's still "THE MAN" and doing a great job in a male dominated field.

Brian Sacco- Brian joins the snareline this year after doing a tour of duty on the 2nd bass spot as a freshman. Brian has been working his ass off this year and is already awesome. Brian Sacco in drum corps what? He's hardcore, man!
Basses
Brandon Ward- Brandon returns to the bassline as a junior and moves down to the big ol' bottom bass. Brandon will be in charge of whipping the newbies into shape. And you thought the whipping stopped when Casey graduated!

Colin Burdge- Colin is the 2nd freshman in the bassline and marches 3rd bass. Just remember your name, buddy.....Colin "the" Burdge!

Clayton Thompson- Clayton comes back to the bassline for his 2nd and final year. This year he moves up a bass drum to the #2 spot. In Clayton's spare time he farms and grows tobacco.MMMMM...Sweet Burley! Clayton and Levi both plan to march in the Marching Virginian drumline at Va. Tech. GO HOKIES.

Orin Buck- Orin is one of two freshman bass drummers. Being all of 4'6" or so tall, he plays top bass. For a little guy he sure packs a mean punch with that spikey hair and all. Little badass what?
Pit

Jennifer Culp- Jenn joins the pit for the 2nd year in a row to close out high school. Her previous experience on piano are what drive her mallet playing skills. She seems to have the best time while doing the "Oompa Loompa" visual

Aaron Hull- "A-hull"finishes out his high school career in pit for the 3rd year after marching his freshman year on 2nd bass. This year Aaron is our full time timpanist in the pit and is working on some boss mop chops. Aaron is also the King in the THS Madrigals. Therefore the need for big mop chops!

John Hunt- John is in pit once again for the 4th consecutive year. He sure does love playing marimba. Who doesn't? I'm sure John will make sure things get done using whatever means neccessary. John also entertains us with the best dirty jokes.

Rob "Todd" Simpson- Todd is back for another year of humiliation and demeaning from other members in the line. Even though sometimes everyone is mean to Todd we still like the guy. He really is cool when he thinks about what he says. Todd also likes tractors and big trucks. In his spare time he works at the Fire Department. Now there's a red blooded American boy!

Joe Culp- Jennifer's little brother Joe joins the pit this year. We call him the insane lemur. I dont know....but he did find some pretty cool caveman poop at band camp.

Dan Heglar-Dan is a freshman this year and regularly plays saxophone but because he couldn't attend band camp he is in the pit. Actually, he fits in much better in the percussion section. Another member who likes tractors and big trucks!
